Uv sterilizers
The series of sterilizers offered by SEPRA covers treated water flow rates from 5 to 1350m3/h. In all cases, the UV lamps are protected by quartz tubes and completely isolated from the hydraulic part;
lamp replacement can be carried out from outside the unit.
All devices are designed to enable:
- to perform installation simply and quickly
- to carry out routine maintenance (changing bulbs and cleaning the quartz tubes housing the bulbs) without the use of any tools
- to facilitate inspection procedures through the side that can be opened
Technical characteristics:
- Flow rates: from 5 to 14,000 l/min
- Housing material: Stainless steel, polished internally and externally (AISI 304 or AISI 316 L)
- Radiation guaranteed: > 40000 m Ws/cm2
- Max pressure: 9 bar
- Possibility of installation of an irradiation sensor
Special system:
A range of special systems is available for installation together with standard UV-C sterilization and disinfection equipment.
These products are used for cases in which water has to be treated with particular chemical/physical characteristics or where a special type of system performance is required.
Sterilization of sea water:
This series makes use of AISI 316 L stainless steel for the construction of the collectors, to which a special anti-corrosion treatment is applied, making it suitable for the treatment of waters with a high chlorides content. These devices, suitable for applications in the food industry, have a 5 year guarantee against all corrosive phenomena.
Sterilization of hot water
The systems to be used for the treatment of hot water are sized taking into consideration the influence of temperature on the germicide lamp UV-C emissions.
Sterilizers for high pressure:
The systems configured for high-pressure work are built with appropriate thicknesses and undergo hydraulic testing so as to ensure optimum operation under particular conditions of mechanical stress.
Sterilizers with cleaning system:
If a system with the cleaning of quartz tubing is required, and should there be the possibility of by-passing the water for a few minutes, systems with manual or automatic CHEMICAL WASHING might be an appropriate solution.
A suitable detergent solution, capable of removing scaling and fouling of various kinds, is repeatedly recirculated inside the housing and finally discharged.
For all cases where the user cannot stop the system to perform periodical cleaning of the quartz tubes, there are manual and automatic 'RACK' models. A series of scrapers runs along the entire length of the sheaths, making sure they are mechanically cleaned, without interrupting or by-passing the water flow.
Customized sizing:
Lastly, all systems can be designed with CUSTOMISED SIZING; depending on what kind of removal is required, the nature of the microbial flora, the operating conditions and characteristics of the water, our Technical Department will ensure that the client receives constant support so as to identify the most appropriate system capable of satisfying all particular requirements.
System with medium-pressure lamps
Systems are available with medium-pressure, high power lamps characterized by their particular compactness.
For example purposes, the flow characteristics of some standard pieces of equipment are indicated.
