OZOSOL dissolved ozone monitor
OZOSOL cell is a specific sensor of ozone in aqueous solution presenting high innovation, which, thanks to its construction characteristics and the special material used for the electrodes, is characterized by a degree of selectivity, sensitivity, precision, stability and reliability that would be difficult to obtain with the sensors currently available on the market.
These cells were designed for those applications in which the selective analysis of oxidants is of fundamental importance for the very low or high concentrations to be detected, for the need of reliable measurements over long periods without any intervention involving calibration and maintenance or for the high degree of precision required.
OZOSOL - Technical characteristics:
- Robust and compact design (IP65)
- Self-regulation of the sample flow rate
- Cell-input sample absence detector
- Excellent linearity and repeatability
- High immunity to interference
- Excellent stability over time
- No maintenance required
- Measurements at extremely low and extremely high concentrations
- Selectivity towards different types of oxidants
Available options:
- pH electrode Mod.101/GEL-PG-CN
- ORP electrode Mod.201/GEL-603
- Cable for pH o ORP electrode (5 m) Mod. CV/S7/5
- Temperature sensor Mod.Pt / L-PG-CN
- Cable for temperature sensor (5 m) Mod.CV/405S7-5
Measurement principle:
OZONIS measuring cells consist of three electrodes:measurement, counter electrode and reference electrode. The counter electrode imposes a constant potential on the measuring electrode where reduction of the oxidant under analysis takes place, thus measuring the latter in terms of discharge current, proportional to the concentration of the oxidant in the sample. Suitably selecting the potential imposed, it is possible to make the cell selective for the different oxidants, minimizing the interference of any other oxidizing substances present in the sample. The cell is totally free from spurious phenomena (corrosion etc) because the electrodes are made from noble metal; underlying issues associated with them are therefore absent, even in critical conditions such as measurements in sea water, in waste waters and in measurements at high concentrations.
