Membrane cleaners
Acid detergents:
DTM 2 Detergent
CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL DATA
- Physical layer: Colourless liquid product
- pH of 1% solution: 2
Chemical composition: Mixture of inorganic acids and surfactants
TYPICAL USE: The DTM 2 detergent is used to clean membranes from inorganic fouling with normal consistency (sulphates, carbonates, iron oxides) combined with organic fouling. Exploiting our experience in the use of membrane in cross filtration plants, Sepra has developed a new range of chemical products aimed at resolving problems which may occur as a result of fouling, encrustment, bacterial contamination, sanitization and preservation.
Alkaline detergents:
DTM 14 Detergent
CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL DATA
- Physical state: Alkaline product in powder form
- pH of 1% solution: 13
Chemical composition: Mixture of alkaline salts , surfactants and sequestrant
TYPICAL USE: The DTM 14 detergent is universally used to remove fouling of a mainly organic nature from membranes.
High sequestrant content makes it effective also in very hard waters.
DTM 114L Detergent
CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL DATA
- Physical state: Alkaline product in powder form
- pH of 1% solution: 13
Chemical composition: Mixture of alkaline salts and sequestrant
TYPICAL USE : The DTM 114 detergent is universally used to remove fouling of a mainly organic nature from membranes. The high sequestrant content also makes it effective in very hard waters. The product is free from surfactants which, if required, must be added separately through our additives MIX A (non-ionic) or MIX EL (anionic).
Neutral detergents:
Biocide Agent AP 76
CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL DATA
- Physical state: Liquid product with a pungent odour.
- pH at 1% solution: acid
Chemical composition: stabilized mixture of organic acids and peroxides
TYPICAL USE: The biocide AP 76 agent is an oxidizing agent which can be used with most polymer membranes; its main use is as a low-temperature disinfectant. The product is effective in the removal of most organic biofilms generated by fungi, bacteria, spores and viruses.
Enzymatic detergents:
FILZYM P Detergents
CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL DATA
- Physical state: Product in powder form
- pH at 1% solution: 9.8
Chemical composition: Mixture of surfactants, sequestrant salts and enzymes
TYPICAL USE: The Filzym P enzymatic detergent was developed specifically to clean membranes in cross flow filtration systems. It is particularly effective in the removal of organic fouling from membranes that have worked on wastewaters.
FILZYM A+10 Detergents
CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL DATA
- Physical state: Liquid product.
- pH at 1% solution: alkaline
Chemical composition: Mixture of surfactants, sequestrant salts and enzymes
TYPICAL USE: The Filzym A+10 enzymatic twin-component detergent was developed specifically to clean membranes in cross flow filtration systems in the dairy sector. It is particularly effective for the removal of organic residues consisting of fats and proteins.
ENZYBRAS Detergent
CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL DATA
- Physical state: Product in powder form
- pH at 1% solution: neutral
Chemical composition: Mixture of surfactants, sequestrant salts and enzymes
TYPICAL USE: The Enzybras enzymatic detergent was developed specifically to clean membranes in cross flow filtration systems in the wine-making sector.
Detergents for the food industry:
RO 2 Detergent
- Physical state: Liquid acid product.
- pH at 1% solution: 2
Chemical composition: Mixture of acid salts and surfactants.
TYPICAL USE: The RO 2 detergent is used universally to clean membrane separation systems (reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration), removing contaminants of a mainly inorganic nature (salt scaling).
CHARACTERISTICS: Its strongly acid nature restricts its use with membranes and materials resistant to low pH levels. The product allows for a rapid rinse, with a biodegradability of resulting solutions equal to about 90%. It is also stable under normal storage conditions.
CONDITIONS OF USE
- Concentration of use: 10-20 g/l
- Operational pH: maintain at pH=2 approximately
- Working temperature: from ambient temperature to 50°C
RO 11 Detergent
CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL DATA
- Physical state: Liquid alkaline product.
- pH at 1% solution: 11
Chemical composition: Mixture of alkaline salts, surfactants and sequestrants.
TYPICAL USE: The RO 11 detergent is used universally to clean membrane separation systems (reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration), removing contaminants of a mainly organic nature (proteins, fats, etc.).
The high sequestrant content makes it effective on very hard waters and allows a partial elimination of residual minerals (calcium and magnesium carbonate) besides the elimination of residual fat, protein and carbohydrates. The product is enriched with surfactants.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Its strongly alkaline nature restricts its use with membranes and materials resistant to high pH levels.
The product is odourless and allows for a rapid rinse, with a biodegradability of resulting solutions equal to about 90%. It is also stable under normal storage conditions.
CONDITIONS OF USE
- Concentration of use: 10-20 g/l.
- Operational pH: maintain at pH = 11.5 approximately
- Working temperature: from ambient temperature to 50°C
